Its episode arc moved with a momentum that has yet to be topped, and Season 2 matched Season 1's grit with the show's current DC fidelity, exemplified what the show, and the Arrow-verse as a whole, can do at its peak.

To be honest, it just felt good to be back in Starling City, and the writers managed to set up plenty of intrigue for the coming season.

It's exactly where I would expect it to be for the premiere, as the writers are masters at pacing things out, as we learned when Arrow Season 1 ended with a perfect crescendo.

This week's episode comes after a brief hiatus due to the Olympics, but it was definitely worth the wait. Packed full of great action, character moments and teases for what's to come, "Time of Death" was another winner for The CW's hit show.

With "City of Heroes," the creative team has hit the ground running, delivering a fast-paced premiere sure to placate anyone who feared a sophomore nosedive in quality.

The CW up our expectations by giving us Arrow Season 2. This season of Arrow is absolutely amazing with a fantastic storytelling, amazing villain, amazing plot wist, and fantastic flashbacks his season of Arrow got everything that made season 1 great and made even better somehow.

With the main villain being Slade Wilson you get to see how the Island not only changed Oliver but also changed Slade.

You see how the flashbacks connect with the story and how Oliver had to make an impossible choice and by making that certain choice impacted what happened after the island.

The final battle between Slade and Oliver is amazing and the fact that every couple seconds you get flashbacks to where Oliver and Slade are fighting on the cargo ship and you see how Oliver has changed by not killing Slade the second time around.

Overall this is the best season that my dad and I have watched so far. Elliot M. Sep 02, When I first watched this season I thought it was way better than the first season, but upon rewatch I found myself not liking it as much.

It's good for the most part, but I think they took a step in the wrong direction. The show seems to be less focused on Oliver and more focused on the Lance family.

Oliver also is significantly less intimidating in this season and more of a screw up. The flashbacks were a little boring to me as well.

This season, like the first and all the others, has two timelines that somehow help to receive more background to the main plot, well in a few words there are new characters that help advance and delay the main plot while that this season's villain Deathstroke and Batman villain, with well-justified reasons, will want to experiment with people to create an army of super soldiers.

The other secondary characters like Sarah, through which the episodes advance, go beyond the level of having a more complex personality.

The same can be said of Roy, who became a more relevant and better-written character, but his acting is so dry that he makes others seem like good actors.

The action sequences have also been improved to a level that they are more visually appealing, therefore entertaining, and you want to know what will happen next.

But if a season has 23 episodes, chances are many of these are fillers, and Arrow is no exception, he has his villain episodes of the week, but at least he acknowledges that some of these try to make them more interesting, featuring elements attractions of comics such as "The Suicide Squad", which in fact said theme contributes something to the development of the characters in this case of Mr.
