Castiel attempts to heal him, but he is unable to before the guard dies. In the aftermath, Dean suggests that Sam and Cas take Jack back to the Bunker while he deals with the ghoul.

On the drive back to Lebanon, Castiel attempts to assure Jack that the security guard's death was a mistake. He relates that he has killed innocent people in the past, but that it doesn't mean Jack should stop fighting or trying to be better.

Sam attempts to tell him they still believe in him. Jack, distraught, tells Sam to just "stop. Dean returns and reveals he killed Dave and smoothed things over regarding Jack and the security guard.

An angry Jack interjects, asking if the guard had a family. When Sam tries to calm him, Jack begins to question if he really is a monster.

Dean tells him they've all done bad things, so if Jack is a monster so is everyone else. Jack retorts that every time he has tried to do something good, people have gotten hurt.

Believing he can't make the world a better place the way he is now, and not wanting to risk hurting Sam, Dean, or Castiel, Jack decides to go off on his own.

He raises his hand and apologizes before he sends out an immense shock wave, knocking Sam, Dean, and Castiel down and blowing the lights in the room before teleporting away.

Jack pays a visit to artist Derek Swan in Bismark, North Dakota, under the pretense of purchasing art.

Jack quickly reveals his true intent, telling Derek he knows he is a dreamwalker and wants his help. Derek initially refuses until Jack offers to pay him.

As Derek prepares to visit Apocalypse World for Jack, he begins losing his connection until Jack channels some of his energy into Derek, allowing him to see Apocalypse World as well.

The strain starts to become too much for Derek, who screams in pain, causing Jack to stop. Realizing he isn't strong enough to help Jack, Derek gives him the name of Kaia Nieves , a powerful dreamwalker who may be able to help him.

At a rehab facility, Jack introduces himself to Kaia, who is immediately able to tell Jack is lying about his cocaine addiction and attempts to leave.

Jack tells Kaia about Derek and how he directed him to her, and asks for her help, telling her he can get her out of the facility.

Kaia agrees and Jack leads her out, rendering a counselor unconscious with a touch, to Kaia's shock. Making it outside, Kaia attempts to leave; when Jack attempts to stop her, she fights back.

As Sam and Dean arrive on the scene, Jack is distracted which allows Kaia to kick him to the ground.

She then proceeds to punch him on the jaw and run away, leaving Jack baffled. Sam and Dean begin questioning Jack about Derek Swan's death; Jack explains how he needed a dreamwalker to guide him to alternate universes.

He goes on to reveal that Mary is alive, showing Sam and Dean a vision of what he saw while dreamwalking with Derek. As the three begin their search for Kaia, Jack is hit with angel radio and tells Sam and Dean that Kaia has been caught by angels.

They locate Kaia and the angels at a warehouse, where Jack fights off the angels, sending the female angel across the room and saving Dean by forcing the male angel to stab himself with his angel blade.

With Kaia freed, Jack tells her that they will protect her, and that he was planning to take Kaia to the Wind Caves, a place where the walls between worlds is thinnest.

Kaia once again refuses, until Dean forces her at gun point. In the backseat of the Impala, Jack apologizes to Kaia for everything that has happened, but explains that their powers can do good in the world, and shows her the Multiverse.

The female angel suddenly appears and attempts to run the Impala off the road. Dean takes the group to an abandoned shipyard where the Winchesters, Jack, and Kaia take refuge from the angels in an old ship, painting warding sigils to keep them at bay.

Realizing they are trapped, Kaia offers to help Jack get to Apocalypse World as the angels begin to break the warding. As Kaia begins dreamwalking, Jack places his hands on her head.

As he helps guide her to Apocalypse World, Kaia begins losing her hold and slipping back to the Bad Place. As she and Jack struggle to hold their connection, a blast of energy explodes from Kaia and Jack, killing the angels while opening a rift that sends Sam and Dean to the Bad Place as Jack is sent to Apocalypse World, waking at the feet of Mary in Michael's Fortress.

At the Bunker, Jack is happy to hear the voices of Sam and Dean. He leaves his room to find Sam and Dean trapped in another room with smoke billowing out of the door.

He attempts to use his powers to break the door down, but is unable to save them and is sent to the floor by his powers. Jack is then seen standing in a room in Michael's Fortress , his eyes vacant as he looks into the distance.

Zachariah switches tactics, changing the location of Jack's hallucination to North Cove, Washington, where he was born.

He uses Castiel's form to try and manipulate him, but Jack is able to see past Zachariah's manipulation and break free. Jack finds himself in Apocalypse World standing before Michael, who throws Jack into a wall, knocking him out.

Michael then flings Zachariah away for failing him and decides to persuade Jack to comply in his own way. Michael drags Jack down a hallway before dumping his unconscious body into a cell with Mary Winchester.

Mary tells Jack she has seen him before. Jack tells her Sam and Dean sent him to save her. He attempts to use his powers to break them free, but the heavy warding is preventing him from using his powers.

Mary is able to find a weak spot in the warding, allowing Jack to burn through the prison cell's bars. Jack and Mary begin traversing the wasteland at night, when they come across Bobby Singer and some of his men patrolling.

Recognizing Mary, and realizing she is Sam and Dean's mother, he takes them to back to his camp. Going through the camp of injured people, Jack asks what happened to them, and Bobby explains that angels have been exterminating humans.

Later that night, Jack is making shadow puppets for the children of the camp, who are laughing, while Mary and Bobby converse.

When Bobby learns Jack is a Nephilim, he demands that he leave the camp in the morning. He explains that the humans once believed that the angels were on their side when Lucifer and his demon army rose from Hell, but they turned on humanity and Bobby believes that Jack will turn against them in a matter of time.

When morning comes, Mary explains to Jack that they need to leave, and Jack immediately asks if it is because of him. As Mary apologizes, a siren begins to blare throughout the camp.

When Mary and Jack look up, they see an angel dive-bombing into the camp, exploding near them. As they lay on the ground in the aftermath, Zachariah and two angels emerge and Jack and Mary flee.

Bobby explained that the angels found out where they are since Jack used his powers. He tells Mary to help evacuate the children of the camp, while angrily telling Jack he has done enough.

When Jack offers to help Mary, she tells him they can't afford the angels getting him, and tells him to hide. As Jack runs through the woods, he begins hearing people screaming.

He turns around to find Zachariah about to kill Mary. He tells him to stop, but when Zachariah ignores him. Jack lifts his hand as a blast of his power hits Zachariah.

Bobby arrives as Jack raises Zachariah off the ground and disintegrates him. When Bobby warns them of more angels incoming, Jack looks to the sky.

Raising his hand, he causes the angels to explode before they reach the camp. In the aftermath, Mary and Bobby both thank Jack, who explains he came back because it is what Sam and Dean would have done.

He tell Mary and Bobby he realized that the angels are not going to stop killing humans, that the war will never end as long as Michael is still out there, and declares his intent to kill Michael.

As Jack describes his recent victory over Balthazar's soldiers to Mary, they are surprised by the sudden arrival of Jakob , who brings the news that Michael and his forces have abandoned his fortress.

Jack uses his powers to confirm Jakob's news, astral projecting to the fortress and seeing that, but for a few angels guarding the perimeter, the fortress stands empty.

Jack suggests they go to the fortress to see if Michael left any clues as to what his plans might be. While Mary shows trepidation, believing it could be a trap, Jack assures her that he will keep her and everyone else safe.

Arriving at the fortress, Jack is examining a map of the United States with Michael's soldiers all gathered in the south when Jakob enters, having found Kevin Tran locked up in the dungeon.

As Kevin begs for his life he reveals Michael's plan: using a modified spell from the angel tablet to open another rift in the south, at a place where the walls between worlds are thin.

As the group debates whether or not Kevin's information is a trap, Jack asserts that he can surprise Michael and kill him. Mary attempts to dissuade Jack from leaving, telling him Bobby is only a day away from arriving, and they should wait for him.

She pleads for Jack to give her one day. Jack initially agrees to stay but changes his mind, telling Mary he has to kill Michael.

She once more tries to stop Jack, telling him he can't go in blind all the time and expect to not make mistakes, and that she can't lose another boy.

Jack, however, promises to Mary that he'll come back for everyone. Suddenly, they are interrupted by Kevin, who reveals he was placed in the dungeon by Michael as a trap to break him.

He gives Jack a message from Michael, telling him "Even if you win, you still lose," before activating a sigil carved in his chest, filling the church with a blinding light as Jack uses his wings to protect himself and Mary.

Afterwards, the burned bodies of Kevin, Jakob, and his men lay strewn all over the church. Jack blames himself for all their deaths, telling Mary he promised to protect them and failed.

Mary attempts to comfort Jack, who simply asks her, "If I can't keep them safe, then what's the point? Jack paces behind a log, talking with Castiel, muttering to himself that Sam can't be dead.

Before Castiel can attempt to console him, Jack demands to know why Castiel didn't bring him back. He moves to Gabriel to ask the same question; Gabriel responds he is too weak, and Castiel explains that they couldn't save him.

As Dean is preparing to collect Sam's body, sirens blare in the camp and a bloodied Sam walks in. Jack's anger turns into joy, before Lucifer enters behind Sam and greets his son for the first time.

Lucifer's sudden arrival causes tension throughout the camp. As Lucifer attempts to speak with his son, he is stopped by Dean who orders Gabriel to kill Lucifer.

As the arguing intensifies, Jack grows agitated and teleports away to think about the situation. Remembering what his mother told him, that it is his choice to be who he wants to be, Jack returns to the camp, telling Castiel that he wants to listen what Lucifer has to say, and form his own opinions.

He first questions Lucifer why everyone hates him. Taken slightly aback, Lucifer explains to Jack his views on humanity and how limited and corruptible they are.

When Jack tells him his mother was human, Lucifer back-pedals. He says that the world needed a fall guy for all the evil that occurs, but that as he was locked away in a Cage, he couldn't have done all the things he is blamed for.

As they continue their conversation, Jack questions Lucifer about God, but before Lucifer can answer, Dean puts a stop to their talk.

As Sam and Cas try to dissuade him, he tells them he will never know anything about his father unless he talks to him. As the camp makes the journey to Bobby's home, Jack tells Sam that he believes that with Lucifer on their side, they are strong enough to defeat Michael.

He pleads with Sam to let him take a shot, but Sam refuses to go against their set plan of escaping Apocalypse World with the refugees. Gabriel gives a curt greeting to his nephew, before telling Lucifer to stop playing the victim before he departs.

Later, learning about the capture of Charlie and Ketch by the angels, Jack joins the Winchesters on the rescue mission where he uses his powers to kill the angels guarding the abandoned Gas-N-Sip.

When Bobby and the others at his camp agree to join the Winchesters in their escape from Apocalypse World, Jack attempts to stay behind to fulfill the promise he made to himself to kill Michael.

Sam tries to discourage Jack from his plan, and with the help of Lucifer is able to talk Jack into leaving with the rest of the group.

When they arrive at the portal, Jack is one of the first people through. With everyone safe and celebrating in the Men of Letters Bunker, Jack sits alone, mourning the apparent death of his father.

As Cas takes care of a werewolf taking a smoke break, Sam, Dean, and Jack bust through the door of the boathouse. Jack puts out his hand and holds them back as Sam and Dean shoot the men several times with silver bullets.

Back at the Bunker, Dean notices Jack having a nightmare in his room. Dean attempts to comfort Jack, telling him he has nightmares of the people he couldn't save, too.

He reassures Jack, telling him that nobody is perfect and that all anyone can do is try to better themselves. Sam soon comes into the room with news from Mary and Bobby and the three meet up where the body of Maggie was found.

Believing it is his fault that Maggie died due to his promise to protect her, Jack teleports away to a gas station where a boy Maggie was seeing works, believing him to be to culprit.

Sam, Dean, and Cas arrive soon after to find Jack choking the young man. When he refuses to let him go, Dean fires a few shots into Jack's back, shocking him into letting go.

When Sam assures him the boy didn't kill Maggie, Jack apologizes as he begins to walk away. Castiel attempts to follow but is stopped by Dean.

Walking down a wooded area, Jack begins hitting himself in frustration for all the people he couldn't save when he is met by his father, Lucifer.

Jack is surprised to see his father alive. Lucifer tells him that Sam lied about his death, but tells him not to hold a grudge considering what he has done to Sam in the past.

The two begin talking, and Lucifer tells him that no matter how many times they help people, something always goes wrong, and it's neither his fault nor theirs.

When he suggests they go off and see the universe together, Jack is excited by the prospect, having become a fan of Star Wars in his short time on Earth.

But before they depart he has Lucifer promise to do something for him, and the two teleport to the Bunker, where they are met by Mary and Bobby.

Jack tells Mary they are there to help and asks Lucifer to resurrect Maggie; a hesitant Lucifer obliges Jack, and the two teleport away after Maggie is brought back to life.

Later that night, Jack and Lucifer are watching the stars as they ready to depart the Earth, when Jack begins to hear a prayer from Sam, begging for help.

He quickly teleports to the Bunker where he finds Michael attempting to strangle Dean to death, and uses his powers to cause great damage to Michael's vessel.

When the pain causes Michael to reveal his partnership with Lucifer, Sam also reveals that it was Lucifer who killed Maggie. As Lucifer denies the allegations, Jack uses his powers to compel Lucifer to tell the truth, at which point he gleefully describes how he murdered Maggie in detail.

Learning this, Jack rejects his father, calling him a monster, which greatly angers Lucifer. Realizing he has lost his son, Lucifer tells him he only needs his power, and slices Jack's neck and consumes most of his grace.

As he begins to teleport away with Jack, Sam grabs on to him and is taken along to a church. In the church, Lucifer begins to kill Sam, but Jack tries to stop him, prompting Lucifer to punch him repeatedly.

He then coldly tells Jack that he lost his chance of being his son and can always make more kids. Lucifer offers the duo an ultimatum: He will allow Jack or Sam to walk out of the church, and give them a week to stop him, if they fight to the death now.

He tosses the archangel blade on the ground between them, and when Sam picks it up and tells Jack to kill him, Jack refuses, telling Sam he won't be able to stop Lucifer, but he believes that Sam will.

Telling Sam he loves him and all of them, Jack takes the archangel blade and begins to slowly push it into his chest. Before he can complete the task, Dean arrives, having given consent to Michael to possess him.

He and Lucifer engage in battle in the church as Sam and Jack look on. When Lucifer gains the upper hand, Sam throws Dean the archangel blade, allowing him to stab Lucifer in the heart and finally kill him.

Sam, Dean, and Jack celebrate their victory, but the celebration is cut short. Jack can only look on helplessly with Sam as Michael reneges on his deal with Dean and takes control of his body before teleporting away, leaving them in the church with Lucifer's corpse and wings burned onto the ground.

Jack becomes frustrated with his slowly-recharging grace and the way that everyone else is treating him.

Jack prepares to leave the Bunker to set out on his own, but notices Castiel and a hunter named Jules attempting to save a young woman named Lora who is suffering from a witch 's curse.

Jack decides to stay and help instead of leaving and does his best to comfort Lora, who tells him about her experiences with the witch.

After Lora dies, Jack is devastated by his inability to save her in his powerless state. However, Jack is able to put together clues from Lora's story about the witch to realize that it was the witch's necklace that was cursed and draining Lora's life force.

By smashing the necklace, Jack restores Lora's life force and resurrects her , saving Lora's life. Afterwards, Castiel congratulates Jack on his actions, telling Jack that by saving Lora the way that he did, Jack has proven that he has the heart and mind of a hunter.

Castiel suggests that they begin going on some hunts together, which Jack is pleased by. He plays down an illness he has developed.

Once Castiel is gone, Jack is revealed to be coughing up blood, something that clearly worries him. With Sam on a hunt with Charlie Bradbury , Jack brings Dean a possible case that he has found and suggests that they take it together.

Jack recognizes that they both feel guilt for their role in Michael's actions and suggests that by working the case they can distract themselves from it, which Dean reluctantly agrees to.

After the culprit is revealed to be a zombie named Vance, Jack realizes that Vance is Harper's ex-boyfriend. Harper reveals herself to be the necromancer that resurrected Vance as a zombie and sends him after Jack.

Jack pretends to have genuinely fallen in love with Harper to distract her and together Jack and Dean restrain Vance with silver handcuffs.

The two are then able to kill Vance by staking him to his coffin, but Harper escapes and develops an obsession with Jack. In the aftermath of the hunt, Dean congratulates Jack on his good work and agrees that Jack can begin hunting with them again.

Having continued to display his strange cough while working with Dean, Jack coughs up blood in front of a worried Dean before suddenly passing out, bleeding from the nose and mouth.

With Jack's condition worsening and Castiel unable to heal him, the Winchesters and Castiel quickly rush Jack to a hospital where he undergoes a battery of tests.

The doctors are unable to determine exactly what is wrong with him, but learn that he's going into systemic organ failure.

With the doctors unable to help, the three check Jack out of the hospital and bring him back to the Bunker where they call upon Rowena for help.

After learning that Jack is Lucifer 's son, Rowena initially refuses until Jack appears personally to try to convince her.

After Jack practically collapses in front of her, Rowena agrees to help and runs a diagnostic spell on Jack. From the spell's results, Rowena determines that without his grace to maintain a balance, Jack's human and angel halves are attacking each other.

As a result, Jack is dying and his only hope is to get archangel grace to replenish Jack's depleted grace. While Sam and Castiel work on finding a cure for Jack, Jack himself expresses a desire to live the remainder of his life to the fullest, something that Dean decides to help him with.

After going out for food, Dean gives Jack the keys to the Impala and teaches Jack how to drive. Once Jack gets the hang of it, Dean and Jack enjoy simply cruising together.

Instead of doing something extravagant next, Jack decides to go fishing with Dean, an activity that Jack knew was the one thing that Dean had enjoyed doing with his own father.

While Dean and Jack are away, Castiel manages to get some of Gabriel 's grace and a spell from the shaman Sergei to use the grace to recharge Jack's own and save his life.

Jack and Rowena perform the spell and he momentarily appears to get better, but then collapses again. Sergei admits that the spell was just an experiment while Rowena determines that there is nothing more that can be done for Jack except to be there for him as he dies.

A weak Jack tries to comfort Sam, Dean, and Castiel as his end nears, but Dean is unable to stand seeing Jack in such a state and leaves the room. Jack asks Sam to relay a message to Dean for him and dies moments before Dean and Castiel reenter the room.

Grief-stricken, the three decide to give Jack a hunter's funeral pyre the next morning and spend the night drinking and sharing stories, essentially holding a wake for Jack.

Jack ends up in a Heaven where he re-experiences the road trip to Dodge City. However, Jack notices the sun and Dean flickering and leaves his Heaven, where he is attacked by a dark force.

Jack manages to escape and locates his mother's Heaven. Jack is reunited with Kelly and the two begin to catch up when Jack notices someone approaching the house.

To Jack's surprise, its Castiel, who offers Jack a way to bring him back that would require Jack to sacrifice a piece of his soul. As Castiel explains the threat from the Cosmic Entity, it arrives, possessing Dumah , and attempts to drag Jack to the Empty due to his half-angel nature.

With the others ready to perform the spell, Castiel offers a deal to trade himself for Jack which the entity accepts, though it decides to wait until Castiel is truly happy to collect.

After the entity departs, Jack reluctantly agrees to keep Castiel's actions a secret from the Winchesters and expresses sorrow that he hasn't had the chance to get to know his mother better.

Kelly assures her son that they will get that chance in the future and hugs him goodbye. Castiel resurrects Jack, who awakens in the Bunker still suffering from the condition that killed him.

On Sam's urging, Jack quickly completes the spell, causing his eyes to glow as part of his soul is burned away and he is cured. Later, Jack joins the Winchesters in celebrating over burgers and beer, displaying no noticeable differences in his personality despite losing a small piece of his soul.

With Jack saved, and armed with the location of Michael , they express new determination in their mission and share a toast. Jack is sitting alone in the Bunker kitchen eating a bowl of cereal when Castiel finds him.

Cas replies that they don't need the burden and that the life he leads is rarely happy anyway. After learning that Ketch dropped the Hyperbolic Pulse Generator in the mail, Sam and Jack head to Joplin, Missouri, to steal it from the postal hub facility while Dean and Cas go to Omaha and attempt to retrieve Kaia's Spear for their fight against Michael.

In Joplin, Jack shows off his new skills to Sam, having taught himself how to pick locks. After getting the package, Jack and Sam are attacked by Michael's monsters, who drag Jack into a van and drive off.

After Michael has been restrained in the Bunker's map room, Jack and Michael converse, and Michael attempts to put doubt in Jack's mind about how strong Dean is and whether Dean was relieved when he died.

May 18, is the son of Lucifer and Kelly Kline. He is the first and only known Nephilim to be sired by an Archangel. Jack was taken in by Sam Winchester and Dean Winchester who would teach him how to master his powers.

During this time, Jack played a role in the resurrection of Castiel who he had chosen as his father. Jack would leave the Winchesters and Castiel to go off to master his powers, in an effort to prove he is good he would search for a way to rescue Mary Winchester for her sons.

Jack would be sent to Apocalypse World where he'd rescue Mary and they fight out off many angels to protect a human colony.

Wanting to free the Apocalypse World from Michael's reign, Jack would form a resistance composed of humans to stand against the angels.

In the months that followed, Jack would see many victories over the angels before he was reunited with Sam, Dean, and Castiel.

Jack also met his biological father Lucifer and his uncle Gabriel. He was unsure of how to deal with this but decided to hear his father out and even got on good terms with him.

Jack believed that with his father, he could defeat Michael. However, his close status with Lucifer raised concern from the Winchesters and they soon put a stop to it in the evacuation of Apocalypse world by leaving Lucifer trapped.

Lucifer however returned and offered to take Jack to the stars where they could go on a father-son journey cross the known universe.

Jack at first accepted immediately but after seeing Lucifer's true malicious self he disowned him as his father. In retaliation, Lucifer stole Jack's grace , leaving him powerless.

With Lucifer poised to destroy everything, Dean became the vessel for the Apocalypse World Michael and killed Lucifer in battle to Jack's great relief before Michael took control of Dean and departed, loose upon the Main Universe.

In the time after his loss of power, Jack spent time adjusting to being human as he waited for his grace to return.

However, he also felt worthless as he couldn't stop Michael but overcame it by using his basic hunter knowledge to help out. It was also shown that he was experiencing an illness but didn't know what was causing it though withheld this from everyone.

After Dean returned, Jack went on a case with him and did very well but his illness finally took hold. It was discovered because his grace kept his body intact, Jack's body couldn't sustain without it and he was dying.

After being given grace of his uncle Gabriel and being helped by Rowena MacLeod , Jack's body was giving out.

Jack soon died and went to Heaven but he left his Heaven to enter his mother's heaven where he finally connected with her. However, Jack was pursued by The Shadow who sought to claim him but because of the Winchesters and Castiel, Jack was resurrected and returned to Earth.

Later after a final confrontation with Michael he kills the archangel before consuming his grace and restoring his powers.

However, Jack's soul had burned out and his actions caused the others to worry on his condition. When Jack killed Mary Winchester , he sought to redeem himself by creating new angels but it didn't help and he was locked away by the Winchesters.

Jack escaped and roamed Earth before he was confronted by the Winchesters who intended to kill him but stopped. This resulted in God returning to Earth and personally killing Jack and plunging the world into chaos to punish humanity for the defiance.

Jack was sent to The Empty where he awoke. His corpse is subsequently used as a vessel by the demon Belphegor to help the Winchesters after he escapes from Hell.

However, Castiel smites Belphegor with considerable power after learning that the demon intends to use the Winchesters to gain power for himself.

This second smiting burns Jack's corpse into a charred skeleton. To keep Jack safe, Billie keeps him hidden in the Empty until God leaves the Earth after recovering his full powers.

Once God is gone, Billie resurrects Jack and provides him with a plan to eventually become strong enough to kill God, though he must hide and not use his powers until he's ready so as not to draw God's attention to him again.

Initially resurrected soulless, Jack's soul is later restored by the Garden of Eden after he visits through the Occultum. Jack later reveals that he is being turned into a bomb that will cause God and the Darkness to cease to exist, but which will also be fatal to Jack himself.

While still in his mother's womb, Jack was shown to be aware of his surroundings. He glanced at Dr. Turner during an examination and actively chose Castiel as his new protector and guide, replacing Dagon and even going so far as to help Castiel kill Dagon.

Since his father is Lucifer, it is a general assumption that Jack is the embodiment of pure evil. This belief was originally shared even by his mother , who attempted suicide so that her child wouldn't be unleashed upon the world.

Jack resurrected her, however, saving himself in the process. Kelly then became convinced that Jack could be good, and that the world needed him.

Upon delivery, the baby rapidly ages and leaves his dead mother on her bed while he retreats to his nursery. When Sam discovers him, Jack is now an adult and smiles menacingly at the hunter.

Immediately after being born, Jack began searching for Castiel , who he saw as his father, and showed great confusion at the world around him.

All that he appeared to know was that his mother was in Heaven and his father was supposed to be waiting for him, but nothing beyond that. While Jack possessed memories from while he was in the womb, he didn't appear to understand what they meant.

Jack was shown to enjoy some simple pleasures such as eating junk food with Clark and using his powers to get them some more.

Jack has taken to using the computer more often after Sam showed him how to use it and mostly watches videos or plays games.

Because of his own heritage as the son of Lucifer, Jack has shown an at least somewhat sympathetic view toward those like him mistaken to be evil monsters as he connected with Mia Vallens , a shapeshifter who tries to help people.

Jack comforted her after she expressed sadness that she wasn't able to help anyone and she accepted his words.

Belphegor notes that at least a hundred are trying with more coming and points out the uselessness of Dean's attempts to stop the ghosts with rock salt.

As Rowena uses the Soul Catcher to trap the ghosts, Belphegor announces that it is working, only for Arthur to be revealed to be possessed by Francis Tumblety.

However, Dean shoots Francis with iron bullets, expelling him from Arthur and allowing Rowena to finish the job. Belphegor exchanges a nod of satisfaction with Dean.

After deciding to continue roaming the Earth as a ghost, Kevin requests that Belphegor open a door in the barrier for him to get out. Belphegor complies with Kevin's request, though he becomes annoyed at the length of time their goodbye takes.

Rowena and Castiel then draw their attention to more ghosts rising out of Hell, alarming the group.

Belphegor notes that soon the ghosts will overrun them again once the barrier falls. Additionally, Rowena's Soul Catcher isn't strong enough to handle all of the ghosts and they need to find another solution before it's too late.

Though Sam is confident they will find one, Dean is left wondering how. In The Rupture , Belphegor accompanies the Winchesters, Rowena and Castiel back to the crypt so that Rowena can perform the Rafforza l'incantesimo spell to strengthen the barrier.

However, the spell fails and Rowena explains that the barrier is now too weak and the ghosts too strong for it to succeed.

Belphegor comments that for those keeping score, it is now one for the demon and zero for the witch. Rowena reveals that the barrier will fall within a matter of hours at most and there is nothing they can do to stop it.

Without a word, Belphegor departs the crypt, followed by Castiel who questions if he is just leaving. Belphegor points out that Castiel wouldn't mind if he did as the angel still can't look at him, but admits that he's not.

Instead, Belphegor explains that he just wanted to get a look at the rupture to Hell which still has souls emerging from it. Belphegor tells Castiel that he doesn't care what Rowena calls it, the rupture isn't a door or a gate but a tear created when "God stamped his foot and Hell ripped open.

Belphegor states that he has an idea, but Castiel isn't going to like it. In the crypt, Belphegor reveals that his idea is to use Lilith's Crook.

Belphegor explains how the Crook was created by Lilith to control her flock and can be used to draw all of the souls and demons back into Hell.

Though the Crook is sealed in Lilith's Chamber which has been sealed for ages, all of the doors in Hell are now open, meaning that they can access the chamber.

Belphegor states that if he uses the Crook, they can recall all of Hell's ghosts back into it after which Rowena will close the rupture using the Sanetur Acre Vulnus spell.

As Rowena describes what she will need, Belphegor states that he needs someone to go with him to act as protection against the ghosts and demons that may still be loitering in Hell.

Dean volunteers Castiel who reluctantly agrees. Heading to the rupture, Belphegor questions if Castiel has a plan for getting to the surface as the rupture will seal up pretty quickly if the spell goes right.

Belphegor warns that Castiel's part in the whole thing is extremely dangerous: he could die or get trapped in Hell and Castiel's friends might never see him again which he notes they didn't seem to think twice about.

Belphegor is annoyed when Castiel doesn't fight back and states he doesn't know how they get down the rupture as he didn't see any stairs or anything.

As Belphegor leans over the rupture, Castiel simply shoves the demon in and jumps after him. As the two make their way through Hell, Castiel notes how quiet it is, causing Belphegor to give a sarcastic response.

Belphegor suggests that everyone took their shot and got out, commenting that he is an oddball that likes it in Hell. Castiel becomes more suspicious of the demon as he knew Hell was nearly empty yet supposedly needed protection.

Belphegor claims that he just wanted Castiel's company, asking to try to become friends as he growing on Sam and Dean. Castiel warns the demon that Sam and Dean are just using him and they don't care about Belphegor at all.

Belphegor questions Castiel's seething animosity and he states that the demon is wearing Jack "like a coat" who is like a son to Castiel, making every second in Belphegor's presence intolerable.

Approaching the door to Lilith's Chamber, the two hear banging inside and Belphegor shoves Castiel in front of him. Inside, the two discover Belphegor's old friend Malfayan who is taking the opportunity to rob Lilith's treasures.

Belphegor confirms that the other demon doesn't have the Crook and the two reminisce over the Haxon Ring which Malfayan is wearing.

To Belphegor's annoyance, Castiel kills Malfayan and Belphegor leads him to the sealed box containing the Crook. On the box is an Enochian song of praise to Lucifer , the incantation to open the box which only Lilith could read.

Belphegor comments that it was a smart move and prompts Castiel to read it. After Castiel can't open the box by just reading the song, he is forced to reluctantly sing it, opening the box and revealing the Crook.

Belphegor tells Castiel he will need a head start getting out and Castiel prepares to hand over the Crook only to have Ardat attack them.

Ardat explains that she got "a hot tip" from Arthur Ketch and she knew the second all of the doors in Hell flew open Belphegor would be looking for a way to take power.

Kicking Belphegor to the ground, Ardat draws an angel blade and beats on him, admitting that going after Lilith's Crook was a solid play but Belphegor on the throne is never going to happen.

Before Ardat can kill Belphegor, Castiel tackles the other demon off of him and struggles with Ardat who reveals the truth: that Belphegor wants to rule Hell and has been waiting for centuries for his chance.

As Ardat is distracted fighting Castiel, Belphegor takes the chance to kill her from behind with an angel blade.

Castiel demands the truth from Belphegor who claims that he doesn't want to rule Hell before finally flinging Castiel out of the chamber with telekinesis.

Belphegor finally drops the act and states that the Crook isn't just a leash, its a siphon. He will use it to suck all the ghosts and all the demons right back into himself, "the power of a gazillion souls.

Belphegor begins blowing the horn, drawing all of the souls and demons inside. However, before he can finish, Castiel manages to fight his way through the strong wind created by the Crook and tackle the demon to the ground, beating on him.
