Cooper who I have always felt kind of "meh" about is fantastic. He puts his heart and soul into this film and it shows. His version of worn out drunk was believable.
What was not was great was their chemistry which is funny because I think there was something electric between them at the Oscars but didn't feel it here at all.
I guess we would have to chalk that up to her poor acting skills. She was too wooden to have chemistry with anything.
The writing was also weak. Jack was a miserable sob who never felt loveable to begin with, it's hard to fathom why she would have fallen in love with him, I just didn't buy it.
I felt like Gaga's character was written for someone 20 years ago, it didn't feel fresh at all. They were just there, eating up time.
Sam Elliott was a great addition, but he's always good and his role made sense, the others not so much. They just seemed unnecessary to an overly long movie.
All in all this movie was too long, especially the songs I think his songs were better and more solid than hers which felt very old and dated.
I think if he had made this movie with a stronger actress I may have enjoyed it more. She should take some acting classes if she wants to continue as an acteess.
She has some kind of spark, you are drawn to her but that doesn't make her an actress. All in all I'd say Cooper did a great job, Gaga not so much.
I felt like I was the last woman alive who has yet to see this movie, so I had some free time yesterday so I watched it.
And wow! I was absolutely blown away. The chemistry was amazing, and the music was amazing as well. Bradley Coopers voice was incredible.
This movie showed a love story dealing with a heavy addiction, without cheating and abuse. I don't think we realize there are many relationships where one is an addict, yet, there is no abuse and cheating.
This truly resonated with me. My husband has battled with a life-long addiction, and has never been abusive, nor has he cheated.
Regardless of his addiction, he has always loved me to his core, and has always treated me extremely well. There is a huge misconception of addiction, where many assume all relationships with addicts are abusive.
Although many are, mine has never been and we have a 28 year history. Since I was 14 years old When Ally questioned if Jackson would love her the same sober, I felt this, as this was one of my biggest fears with my husband.
Will I be enough for him clean? Will he still love me the same? Will his love be as intense? This was a very valid fear of mine. I have watched many movies in my time, but this, the story line pertaining to addiction was so different.
The ending shocked me, and I don't think I was ready for this, another thing that shook me to my core. A great movie, great acting, amazing chemistry and just an incredible soundtrack.
Very well-done and a must watch for anyone who loves music and an amazing love story. When this movie first came out, it looked interesting to me but nothing I was "dying" to see.

Wow, I was not impressed with this film. Jack recovers in rehab for about two months, where he discloses to his counselor that he attempted suicide when he was 13 years old.
He also mentions that he has hearing problems due to tinnitus , which has been getting worse. Jack tearfully apologizes to Ally for his behavior.
While returning home, Jack admits to Bobby that it was him he idolized and not their father. Ally asks Rez to bring Jack to perform with her European tour, and Rez refuses, prompting Ally to cancel the remainder of the tour so she can care for Jack.
Later, Rez arrives at their home to await Ally; while waiting, Rez confronts Jack and accuses him of nearly ruining Ally's career and stating that Jack will certainly relapse again.
That evening, Ally lies to Jack and tells him that her record label has canceled her tour so she can focus on her second album.
Jack promises that he will come to her concert that night, but after Ally leaves, he hangs himself in their garage.
Ally, grief-stricken and inconsolable after Jack's suicide, is visited by Bobby, who tells her that the suicide was Jack's own fault and not hers.

Zwar gibt es einige Längen in den Film, aber wenn man das gesamte Verstorbene Schauspieler betrachtet, merkt man, dass man die Szenen brauchte, um Our Girl Stream Schluss extrem gut wirken zu lassen und somit konnte er sich sehr gut entfalten.
