The food on offer was delicious, and the prices were more or less fair. Staff very quick and friendly, even though it can get unbelievably crowded.

There are so many different floors it's easy to get lost if you're new there. The food on offer was delicious, and the prices were more or less fair.

It was the first school in Germany without confessional segregated classes and was destroyed in during World War II. From the Moritzbastei was rebuilt under the supervision of the University of Leipzig.

More than 30, students were engaged in the reconstruction of the bastion, among them the current Chancellor of Germany , Angela Merkel.

From onward the Moritzbastei was the official student club of the University of Leipzig. In or students discovered the remains of the Moritzbastei and persuaded the university and city of Leipzig to allow it to be rebuilt.
